TYPE OF WOOD

Softwood [SW], most of our softwood is BSL approved. The BLS No will be shown on the invoice.
LENGTH of the LOGS

​​​Standard lengths are 250mm [L2] 10'' / 300mm [L3] 12'' / 400mm [L4] 16'' / 500mm [L5] 19'' only SW

or any bespoken lengths of logs up to 600mm.
GREEN or SEASONED
Green logs are only available after the heating season. The terms "FIREWOOD" or "SEASONED" or "READY TO BURN" means that the moisture content is below 20%. LFS measures the moisture content on a regular basis depending on the weather conditions.

Self-collected always means from Linnorie Park, Huntly, AB54 4PT. That is from the Huntly roundabout 250m south along the A97 towards Rhynie on the righthand side.

Hardwood
Suitable for stoves or fireplaces, especially when the nights need to be kept warm as well. As there are very few landowners investing to get all the certificates it is hard to purchase BSL-approved timber for biomass boilers​.
The stocked, seasoned logs with moisture content less than 20% come in lengths of:
